The HyperX Cloud III is a premium wired gaming headset built for serious gamers who want a balance of comfort, performance, and versatility. Its sound is driven by retuned 53 mm dynamic drivers with neodymium magnets and a 64-ohm impedance, delivering clear and immersive audio from 10 Hz up to 21 kHz.
It features a detachable electret condenser boom microphone (10 mm) with noise-cancelling and a uni-directional pickup pattern. The mic’s sensitivity is about -42 dBV (0dB=1V/Pa at 1kHz). The headset also has an LED mute indicator so you can immediately see when the mic is off.
Constructed with an aluminum frame and plush memory-foam ear cushions wrapped in premium leatherette, the Cloud III is designed for long gaming sessions without fatigue. The earcups are sealed (closed-back), helping isolate sound. On the cable side, you get a main 1.2 m headset cable plus a USB dongle cable (approx 1.3 m) for the USB-mode.
It supports multiple connections: wired 3.5 mm (4-pole), USB-C (with adapter to USB-A), and USB audio (stereo). For enhanced spatial sound, it has virtual surround through DTS Headphone:X
Physically, the Cloud III weighs around 308 g (≈ 320 g with microphone) and has dimensions of roughly 155 × 86.7 × 190 mm.
